P. Kumar Agarwal

        Pradeep Kumar Agarwal is a policy advisor with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), Washington, DC, where he has been involved with regulating electric utilities. Mr. Agarwal was a member of the team that drafted Commissions Final Rule on regional transmission organization (RTO). He was the team leader for Bulk Power Markets (Southeast) investigation. He testified in several litigated cases as an expert witness on issues related to transmission service. He joined the Commission in 1994.

        Before joining the Commission, he was with Florida Power and Light Company in Miami from 1987 to 94. Mr. Agarwal was an adjunct faculty at Florida International University from 1990-93. He has a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Florida International University. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, India in 1983. He is a US citizen. 

        Mr. Agarwal takes keen interest in power sector reforms in India. He traveled to India on a two-week speaking tour at the request of U.S. Department of State.
